1001 Blog Authors and Gear

At 1001 Angles we have a team of dedicated and talented “photographers,” all of whom have their own unique perspective. In our efforts to demystify the creative process we have asked each of them to occasionally contribute stories, insights, and random tidbits from their many shoots. Below you will find brief bios about the team and what inspires them.

Nikonia:

Hi! My name’s Nikonia (so pretty, right?) and I’m a Nikon 70-200 mm lens. People say I’m sassy, but they’re just jealous of my good looks. And yes, I’m a fashionista! I used to be paparazzi until my scandal with a B list celebrity. Oh well, as my girl Taylor would say “haters gonna hate.” I’m just so excited to be starting a new chapter in my life with 1001 Angles.

Namaste. I’m Niko – Composer Pro lens from Lensbaby. So stoked to be here with 1001 Angles! I’m all done with my photo classes and hanging out for a year or two, you know, looking for my sweet spot in life. When I’m not out shooting, I like to do yoga – it helps me focus better.

Sir Nickolas XIV

Cheerio. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Sir Nikolas Alexander XIV – Nikon 24-70 mm lens. I come from a long line of distinguished photographers. As a matter of fact, my great grandfather had the honor of taking the Queen’s portrait on her diamond jubilee. I, myself, had the pleasure of visiting many of her majesty’s lands around the world – the sun indeed never sets on the great empire. I live for adventure and honor and never miss an opportunity to shine a light on how brilliant this world can be.

Nikita

I do not give personal interviews, I would rather shoot incognito. My clients hire me for my quiet efficiency and ability to deliver results. Who are my clients? I’ll never tell… But I might sneak you into a fancy party I’m shooting if you are quick on your feet. (Nikita, Nikon 50 mm F1.4)

Howdy. Uncle Nick here, 14-24 mm Nikon lens. Coming from big sky country I know a thing or two about landscapes, the first rule being the bigger the better. I’m always on a lookout for wide open spaces and I’ve never said no to a road trip. The more people I meet and the more places I explore the better I’m able to understand the big picture and that’s why I enjoy being a  part of 1001 Angles family.
