Marian and Andy were high school sweethearts.
As their best man said during his toast – most people in high school tried to stay together and failed, while these love birds tried to stay apart and failed.
Their wedding took place on a family farm and the bride was getting ready in her childhood bedroom.
It doesn’t get more sentimental than that!
The bride looked beautiful in her blue shoes and vintage veil borrowed from her future mom in law.
Andy looked very handsome too!
While the girls were getting ready upstairs, the groomsmen were watching dogs of honor and unwrapping gifts and favors.
The groom and his best friends walked up to the ceremony site with the dogs.
Just like in the best fairy tales, Marian with her bridesmaids and flower girl were brought to the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage.
Along with a very good looking bridal party, Marian and Andy had their dogs – Link and Kaya – stand at the altar with them.
The ceremony was short and sweet and it was so sweet to watch the father of the bride give his little girl away.
Once the formal part of the day was over, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed delicious food, drinks and dancing.
My favorite part of the day was when Marian and Andy snuck away from the party to honor an old southern tradition and dig up a bottle of bourbon that they buried at the ceremony site for good luck and good weather.
At the end of the night family and friends sent off the newlyweds onto their honeymoon with some bubbles and lavender seeds.
Congratulations and best wishes to Marian and Andy!
