Natalie and Shawn met at The Church, the bar version.
It was only fitting that their big day took place in another unique church and Blind Whino fit the bill perfectly.
Covered in all colors of rainbow, it is a perfect place for a one of a kind celebration.
But the day started earlier at Lincoln Memorial – a place where Natalie proposed to Shawn once upon a time was the perfect setting for their wedding day first look.
Natalie was wearing her grandmotherβs wedding dress and Shawn was looking dapper in his purple vest and bowtie.
They were both super comfortable and hip in sneakers and I knew we were in for a big dance party later.
They said their vows and exchanged rings under a handmade huppah in one of the most creative and fun wedding ceremonies ever.
The evening continued with a phenomenal dance party with hora and toasts and even a surprise cake.
Congratulations, Natalie and Shawn!Β

Love this!! I’m curious as to what the “surprise cake” is!

Thank you! They didn’t plan for a cake and bride surprised the groom with one during the dancing. It was a cute private moment with just two of them and the cake had a picture of their cat on it!

I’m so jealous that you get to shoot in DC. It’s a huge dream of mine to have clients in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Such a fun couple and wedding venue!
