In attempts to hang on to summer, Susan and her friends went on a fateful trip to Ocean City during Labor Day weekend. It was during that trip when she met Milan, the man of her dreams. In her wedding vows, she said to him – “I think about the times in my life when I’ve been the happiest, laughed the hardest and thought my heart would explode, you have always been in those moments.” Their hindu-jewish fusion wedding took place at Westin in Annapolis, Maryland and it was definitely an event to remember. It was such a cool mix of traditions from two different cultures with lots of Susan and Milan’s personalities sprinkled in. The day started out with an intimate first look and the couple enjoyed some quiet time before the colorful barraat procession swept the groom to the streets of Annapolis. The newlyweds reunited for ketubah signing and continued the day with wedding ceremony that harmoniously included saptapadi, Sheva Brachot and the breaking of the glass. The reception was equally embracing of both cultures – traditional jewish hora was followed by Bollywood choreographed surprise dance from Milan’s sisters. I am so proud to have been able document Milan and Susan’s big day!
this looks like so much fun! I love it.
