Desiree and Andre’s intimate and romantic wedding day started at Hotel Monaco in DC. Bride and groom got ready in separate rooms and had their first look atop of a winding staircase. As soon as they embraced each other, they felt like they could take on the world together. We got to enjoy the afternoon at National Portrait Gallery while taking their wedding pictures and having fun with the wedding party. The ceremony and reception took place in Loft at 600 F Street and the clean color scheme of black, white and gold and architectural elements made the wedding feel very art deco. As they were saying their vows, Andre and Desiree started a life-long family tradition of love letters and wine on their anniversary. They sealed a bottle of fine red along with their wedding day letters to each other to be opened one year from now, at which point they will exchange more love notes and wine to be cherished for another year. The evening continued with delicious food, thoughtful toasts, happy tears and wild dancing. Pretty much every groomsmen took it upon themselves to dance with newlyweds’ mothers and the groom surprised his mom with a dedicated slow dance, which left everyone in tears. What a beautiful day!

Seriously stunning- and what a gorgeous couple. Love the use of that architectural staircase. So perfect!
